Tips and tricks for the ideal care for wooden arrows
- Before placing arrows in storage, it is useful to rub the heads with some precision engineering oil to prevent rust formation.
- Wet arrows need to be dried slowly and carefully before: note here that feathers are very quickly bent in moist condition and also permanently take this shape. Do not expose arrows to strong heat and humidity.
- Who wants (or needs) to shoot even in case of bad weather should impregnate the arrows with suitable oils or paints.
Tips for storage:
Arrows should be stored in cool, dark and dry places, at best standing in a container so that the fletchings do not touch each other.
Our display where each arrow has its own drillhole would be best here of course.
